-Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro Scholarships: Various Deadlines

The Jason Christopher James Memorial Scholarship applications are due February 7, 2025. One $7,500 award will be given to a student interested in politics, international relations, traveling, and studying/living abroad.
The Herman and Earline Herbin Scholarship applications are due March 2, 2025. Two $1,750 renewable scholarships will be awarded to two Guilford County high school seniors. The scholarship is primarily need based, but academic standing will be a secondary determining factor.
The Thomas and Bettie O’Briant Scholarship applications are due March 2, 2025. One $2,500 scholarship will be awarded and is renewable for up to four years. This award is based on need and academic achievement.
The Kay Hagan Memorial Scholarship applications are due February 15, 2025. This scholarship is intended for a female high school senior with a passion for community and civic leadership. The $1,000 scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years.
The William Bryant Evans and Lucy Teague Evans Memorial Scholarship is intended for students living in the McCleansville area. The $1,000 renewable award is based on need and academic achievement. Applications are due March 2, 2025.

- Davidson College Scholarships: Deadline Varies

- DAR Good Citizen Scholarship

Applications for the 24-25 DAR Scholarship is now available. Students interested in this award should submit Pages 2 and Part I (Personal & Part II DAR: Good Citizens Qualities) of Page 3 to Ms. Varner in the Guidance Office no later than Friday, October 4th by 4:00pm. Only 1 senior can be nominated for this award. The selected nominee will be notified and asked to complete Part III (Essay) with Ms. Varner at a later time.

Southwest will nominate one senior for this award. Interested seniors should email the following to Ms. Varner by Thursday, October 31st,no later than 4pm.

Personal statement describing how you demonstrate excellence and exceptional potential in the areas of leadership, scholarship, and engaged citizenship.
Resume: List work/volunteer experience and extracurricular activities (e.g., sports and clubs).

Once you have been confirmed as meeting the membership requirement, you will receive an email from MSS@ncsecu.org providing the DocuSign Powerform link to the PHP application. Deadline: February 18th
Submit a short statement explaining why you believe you deserve to be nominated by SW for the SECU scholarship to Mr. Schnaith-Ivan by Februrary 3rd.
Mr. Schnaith-Ivan will contact students who submit an essay to discuss next steps in the application process.
